Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of Work

Teach a simple risk control sequence: identify the hazard, consider who may be harmed, decide controls, communicate them clearly, and review whether they work. Use fishing examples such as man overboard, entanglement, crushing, weather exposure, fire, deck flooding, confined spaces, and machinery injury. Emphasise that risk assessment is a way of thinking, not only paperwork.
